While social programs, food aid and development
aid both in the U.S. and abroad are grossly insufficient
and suffering continual cutbacks, the flow of US tax
dollars continues to grow. Economic aid is being phased
out with a goal of bringing military aid up to $2.8
billion by 2008. Rather than going to "protect
the security of Israel" as supporters claim, Israeli
military aid funds an illegal occupation of Palestinian
lands which can only be accomplished through brute force.
The torture, repression and killing can be stopped if
the flow of U.S. dollars is stopped.
